Great Northern Diver – 1 flew northwest past Morning Point, the Garrison

Spoonbill – 3 on Green Island, Samson

Little Egret – 1 Old Town Bay & 1 Porth Cressa

Harrier sp – A ringtail over Samson

Golden Plover – 2 flew over Longstone

Bar-tailed Godwit – 9 Bar Point

Mediterranean Gull – 3 Porth Cressa, 9 Tresco

Iceland Gull – 2 on the Garrison 1 later on rocks behind the quay and 1 in the roost at Porth Cressa

Yellow-legged Gull – An adult and a 3rd-winter bird at Periglis, St. Agnes

Great Spotted Woodpecker – 1 Porth Hellick, 1 Tresco

Merlin – 1 Garrison

Skylark – 1 in a field along King Edward’s Road

Cetti’s Warbler – 3+ Porth Hellick

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 in a Garden on Church Road, 2 Porth Hellick, 4 Lower Moors, 1 Newford Duck Pond, 1 in the Parsonage Garden, St. Agnes, 3 Tresco

Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 St. Agnes

Firecrest – 2 Lower Moors and on the Garrison 1 in the Campsite garden, 1 in Star Castle garden, 2 Longstone, 1 Old Town Churchyard, 1 St. Martin’s

Redwing & Fieldfare – A cold weather movement of both winter thrushes

Black Redstart – 1 Little Porth

Brambling – 2 flew over Star Castle

Chaffinch – A noticeable influx

Crossbill – 1 Longstone

Siskin – Some in with the Chaffinch movement

Lapland  Bunting – 1 flew in/off on Peninnis and landed in a field along King Edward’s Road, 1 flew south over the Star Castle garden on the Garrison

Thursday (05/11)

Red-flanked Bluetail – 1 at Porth Hellick initially in the trees alongside the path from the road to the hides, then moving to Porth Hellick Loop where it showed very well on and off. This was the 10th record for Scilly (photo)

Dusky Warbler – 1 Porth Hellick Loop Trail

American Wigeon – A female which flew from Lower Moors towards Porth Hellick, was thought to be this species

Great Northern Diver – 1 in Little Bay, St. Martin’s 

Mediterranean Gull – 3 on rocks in Porth Cressa

Iceland Gull – A juvenile in the horse field on the Garrison, 1 on rocks in Porth Cressa

Yellow-browed Warbler – 4 Lower Moors, 2 Porth Hellick Loop

Siberian Chiffchaff – 1 on the Dead Pine Walk, 1 Lower Moors

Firecrest – 1 Porth Hellick Loop

Mistle Thrush – 1 flew south over the Garrison, 1 in the sunken garden at the junction of Telegraph Road and the north end of Porthloo Lane

Black Redstart – 2 Old Quay, St. Martin’s

Lapland Bunting – 1 In fields on the southwest of Peninnis
