Friday

The Red-rumped Swallow & a Swift were at Porth Hellick, the Rose-coloured Starling flew over Ennor Close, Old Town and 2 Golden Oriole were singing in Holy Vale with another at Porth Hellick.

Saturday

The Red-rumped Swallow & a Swift were still at Porth Hellick and the Rose-coloured Starling flew over Sallyport and was then briefly in a garden at Little Porth.

Sunday

The Red-rumped Swallow & a Swift were still at Porth Hellick and a Yellow-legged Gull was at Porthloo. A Great Northern Diver was off St. Martin’s and a Tree Pipit was at Porth Wreck.

Monday

The Red-rumped Swallow was again at Porth Hellick and later over Lower Moors. The wide-ranging adult Rose-coloured Starling was seen in a garden at Pilot’s Retreat, Hugh Town. A Swift was till over Porth Hellick, the Yellow-legged Gull was still at Porthloo and single Siskin were seen over Mount Todden & in a garden on Sallyport.

The Great Northern Diver was still off St. Martin’s, a Marsh Harrier was over Samson and a trip to Tresco produced a Buzzard showing plumage indicative of “Steppe Buzzard”.

Also seen on Tresco were: a Great Northern Diver, 6 Whimbrel, 13 Curlew,33 Turnstone, 18 Sanderling, 13 Dunlin, 9 Swift, 2 Wheatear and a Siskin. Sadly there were no sign of any adult or young  Pochard.

Tuesday

The Red-rumped Swallow was seen again at Porth Hellick & Lower Moors and the the Yellow-legged Gull was still at Porthloo. A Hobby, a Pied Wagtail, 2 Wheatear & 3 Crossbill were at Porth Hellick and a Snipe was at Lower Moors.

A large group of Kittiwake Were on Gorregan, Western Rocks, and great news! Common Tern are nesting on Rosevean, Western Rocks.
