Monday

Hooded Crow flew over Porthloo heading towards the Golf Course and 1 was seen later on the Garrison.

Tuesday

Red-rumped Swallow (the third of the year), a Hobbyand 2 Swift were over Porth Hellick Pool.

Golden Oriole were singing in the elms at the top of Holy Vale and 1 was at Porth Hellick, where there was also a Dunlin.

Birds seen on Tresco included a male Pintail, a pair of Pochard with 1 duckling, a Hobby, 7 Dunlin, 36 Sanderling, a Whimbrel, a Little Egret, a Siskin and 2 Mediterranean Gull.

What may been the same 2 Mediterranean were also seen off St. Martin’s.

Wednesday

The Red-rumped Swallow was still at Porth Hellick and the adult Rose-coloured Starling was seen near the Dump Clump allotments.

Golden Oriole were still singing in Holy Vale and 1 was still at Porth Hellick, the Cetti’s Warbler was still singing near the Dump Clump and a Spotted Flycatcher was in Porth Hellick House pines.

Thursday

The Red-rumped Swallow was still at Porth Hellick and there were now 3 Golden Oriole  in Holy Vale & 1 on the Porth Hellick Loop.

Hobby was over Porth Hellick and the Cetti’s Warbler was still singing near the Dump Clump.

A European Storm-petrel was found dead in a garden in Hugh Town.
