Saturday – The Surf Scoter and the Hermit Thrush were both at their usual locations and a Siberian Chiffchaff was at Newford Duck Pond.

Sunday  – The Hermit Thrush was sheltering from the wind  and rain in the Higher Moors Pumping Station compound adjacent to the horse paddock at the bottom of Kittydown.

There was no sign of the Surf Scoter but 5 Common Scoter flew past Church Point and another was on the west side of Peninnis.

120 Sanderling flew from Porth Mellon to Porthloo where the count swelled to 145, a Woodcock was at Porth Hellick, and a possible Pomarine Skua was distant off Church Point.

Swallows flew past Tregarthen’s Hotel, Hugh Town, Swallow has been seen on St. Mary’s every month in 2019 except January!

The 2 Chough were on the Garrison and 10+ Redwing & 6+ Fieldfare were at Carn Friars.

There was an amazing count of 29 Black Redstart on St. Mary’s – 10 on Porthcressa Beach, + another 7 at Little Porth, 8 at Porthloo. 3 on Porth Mellon Beach and 1 on Old Town Beach.
