St. Mary’s – A Pectoral Sandpiper & 3 Greenshanks were on Lower Moors Pool and a Spotted Crake was seen there at dusk. Another Pectoral Sandpiper was seen on Porth Hellick where there were also a Black-tailed Godwit, 16 Greenshanks, 3 Green Sandpipers and a Common Sandpiper. A Wryneck was at Church Point.
Tresco – A Pintail,10+ Greenshanks, a Common Buzzard, a juvenile Yellow-legged Gull, a Grey Wagtail, a Pied Flycatcher and 5 Spotted Flycatchers.
St. Agnes – A Wryneck and a Common Swift.
Samson – A Whimbrel.
At sea – 5 Wilson Storm-petrels were seen on the evening sharking trip, taking the season’s total from the M.V. Sapphire to 110 and counting! Also seen were 40 European Storm-petrels, 3 Sooty Shearwaters, 2 Great Skuas and 40 Short-beaked Common Dolphins. 8 Blue Sharks were caught, tagged and released
