St Agnes – probable Spanish Wagtail still by campsite at 0805hrs. Also male Merlin and Redwing on cricket pitch.
St Mary’s – 2 Golden Orioles flew towards Porth Hellick at 0730hrs and Reed and Sedge Waarblers both in song there. Iceland Gull at Porthcressa and Cuckoo at Longstone. A Ring Ouzel and 4 Wheatears at Peninnis Head along with 3 pairs of Meadow Pipits with nesting material. 15 Wheatears in Porthellick Down/Deep Point area. Male Lesser Whitethroat singing Porthelick end of Carn Friars. A Golden Oriole was at Salakee in the evening and a Whitethroat was also seen.
Tresco – Long-tailed Duck in Apple Tree Bay. A Cuckoo was at Pentle Bay
Bryher – Grasshopper Warbler singing by boat yard. Also Cuckoo by quay and Short-eared Owl west of pond at 1830hrs.
St Martin’s – 11 Whimbrel, Whitethroat and 2 Golden Plover
