St Mary’s – Lapwings were reported ‘dropping from the sky’ during the bad weather on the 1st with flocks of 25 and 30 reported at Porthcressa. 12+ Golden and 6 Grey Plovers were also in the area with 4 Med Gulls. 100 Lapwing, 75 Golden Plover, 150 Fieldfare and 100 Redwing were on the airfield on the 3rd. Skylark and Shoveler were also reported and a Jackdaw was heard. There were also 13 Med Gulls at Little Porth. On the 4th there were 4 Iceland Gulls, an adult Kumlien’s Gull and 15 Med Gulls on the island. The following day the Med Gull flock had reduced by 2 and 2 Iceland Gulls were reported. 6 Med Gulls were at Porthcressa on the 6th.
