Tresco – A Honey Buzzard was seen over the Heliport before moving to Trenoweth on St. Mary’s and later been seen on Samson.

St. Mary’s – A Hobby flew over the quay and a Swift was over Salakee.

Bryher – A Spotted Flycatcher.

Samson – A Marsh Harrier and 5 Sanderling.

St. Mary’s – A Cuckoo at Porth Hellick.

St. Martin’s – 8 Swifts, 2 Ravens and 6 Common Tern.

Wednesday 1st June 2011 IoS Bird Reports

St. Mary’s – A Common Rosefinch was at Salakee.

Annet – The Marsh Harrier was still present and seen later in the day over Samson.

At sea – 20 European Storm-petrels, a Wilson’s Storm-petrel, a Great Skua, 3 Puffins and 10 Common Terns.

Tuesday 31st May 2011 IoS Bird Reports

St. Mary’s – 1 Turtle dove was still at Salakee.

St. Agnes – 3 Wheatear, a Common Whitethroat, a Cuckoo and a Peregrine.

Annet – A Marsh Harrier.

At sea – A short-range pelagic trip 5 miles south of St. Mary’s logged 40+ European Storm-Petrels, a Guillemot, a Puffin, 2 Great Skuas and 26 terns, the majority of which were Common Terns but there were a few Arctic Terns amongst them. Also on the trip the first Blue Shark ever caught in May off the Scillies, was tagged and released. A Harbour Porpoise was also seen.

Monday 30th May 2011 IoS Bird Reports

St. Mary’s – The 2 turtle Doves were still at Salakee,a drake Teal was on Porth Hellick Pool, 4 Wheatears were at Deep Point and 4 were on the airfield.

Tresco – 2 Sanderling, 2 Greenshank, a Common Buzzard and 3 Jackdaw.

Bryher – A Wheatear and a Kestrel.

Samson – A Little Gull was on Stony Island.

St. Mary’s – The 2 Turtle Doves were still on Salakee Lane and a pair of Chiffchaffs are breeding at Content.

Tresco - 3 Dunlins, 2 Sanderlings and 5 Whimbrels.

SamsonCurlew, 3 Whimbrels and 60+ Common Terns

St. Mary’s – A Grasshopper Warbler near Carn Vean.

St. Agnes – The Red-rumped Swallow was reported from St. Agnes also on the island was a Common Swift.

St. Martin’s – A Hobby.
