Monday (13/01)

An hour’s sea-watch from Peninnis produced 4 Fulmar, 2 Gannet, c20 Kittiwake and a single Guillemot. On land, again on Peninnis, a Jack Snipe & a Merlin were seen.

Tuesday (14/01)

There were no reports.

Wednesday (15/01)

Great Northern Diver and the Black-necked Grebe where in Town Bay and 2 Raven were displaying over Porthloo.

Thursday (16/01)

The Black-necked Grebe was off-shore at Porth Mellon, 2 Chough were at Deep Point and a Siberian Chiffchaff & 2 Black Redstart were at Porthloo.

Friday (17/01)

The only report was off 4 Black Redstart on Porthloo Beach.

Saturday (18/01)

The Great Northern Diver and the Black-necked Grebe where still in Town Bay 

 A Little Egret, 4 Common Chiffchaff, 2 Siberian Chiffchaff  and 3 Black Redstart were at Porthloo. 

Woodcock was at Kittydown. 

A 100+ Kittiwake were off Watermill.

Sunday (19/01)

6 pale-bellied Brent Geese, 11 Common Scoter, 6 Great Northern Diver, 2 Fulmar, 3 Slavonian Grebe, 5 Whimbrel, a Guillemot, a Razorbill and a Merlin were all in the Bar/Innisidgen area. 

The Black-necked Grebe was still in Town Bay, 2 juvenile Iceland Gull flew past Peninnis and a Firecrest was at Rocky Hills/Rosehill junction.

A rare sighting for Scilly was a pod of 8-10 Long-finned Pilot Whale were off Deep Point and Peninnis.
