Monday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The 2 Greenland White-fronted Geese were in a field on Carn Friars Farm, the Rose-coloured Starling was still in the allotments opposite the incinerator and a Firecrest was still in the flower field behind Carreg Dhu Gardens. A Pale-Bellied Brent Goose was off Innisidgen.
St. Martin’s – A Common Sandpiper was at Lower Town Quay and 4 Little Gulls (an adult & 3 first-winters) were off the Daymark.
Samson – 2 Spoonbills.
Inter-island waters – A Black-throated Diver was east of Green Island, Samson and a Red-necked Grebe was between Samson & Green Island.
Tuesday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The Rose-coloured Starling was still in the allotments opposite the incinerator, the Firecrest was still in the flower field behind Carreg Dhu Gardens and a juvenile Glaucous Gull was in Porthcressa.
Wednesday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The Rose-coloured Starling was still in the allotments opposite the incinerator, a first-winter Little Gull was off Bar Point and a Little Auk was in Hugh Town Harbour.
St. Martin’s – A Little Auk was off Higher Town Quay, 2 Little Gulls were off the Daymark and 2 Balearic Shearwaters & a Manx Shearwater were offshore.
Thursday’s birds were:
St. Mary’s – The Rose-coloured Starling was still in the allotments opposite the incinerator, a Great Northern Diver was in Town Bay, the juvenile Glaucous Gull was on the dump, a Black Redstart was on Porthloo Beach and a Yellow-browed Warbler was in a pittosporum hedge above Carn Leh, Old Town Bay.
Tresco – A Mediterranean Gull and 8 Great Northern Divers were between New Grimsby & Carn Near.
St. Martin’s – A Little Auk and 2 Little Gulls were off the Daymark.
Samson – A Black-throated Diver was offshore.
Inter-island waters – The Red-necked Grebe was between St. Helen’s and Teän.
