Wednesday 28th April 2010 IoS Bird Reports

A much quieter day on the islands today.

St Mary’sYellow Wagtail on Peninnis.

St Agnes –  Whimbrel and Yellow Wagtail on island today.

Gugh –Short-toed Lark still on sandbar today.

On the bird info blackboard outside the Pilot’s Gig there was a report of Yellow-browed Warbler and Red-breasted Flycatcher on St. Martin’s. Can the finder contact Nigel Hudson the IOSBG recorder. There are no previous records of Yellow-browed Warbler on Scilly in spring and there have only been 2 spring records of Red-breasted Flycatcher, both in May.
