St. Mary’s – The only reports were of 2 Black Redstarts & the Wheatear still at Porthloo and a Firecrest in Lower Moors.

Tresco – Another! Dusky Warbler was found this time at Gimble Porth and on the Great Pool were a female Scaup a drake Shoveler and the long-staying Lesser Yellowlegs along Pool Road were about 30 Chiffchaffs, a very late Pied Flycatcher, a Firecrest, 2 Lesser Redpoll and in with a flock of Chaffinch was a female Brambling. A Common Buzzard and 2 Pink-footed Geese flew over. A first-winter Mediterranean Gull was on Abbey Pool and the Aythya hybrid duck seen last week on St. Agnes was there. 14 Black Redstarts, a Wheatear, 2 Short-eared Owls and a Woodcock were on Castle Down.
