All Islands – There was a large influx of hirundines on all islands today, mostly Swallows with smaller numbers of Sand Martins and a few House Martins. There were also good numbers of Willow Warblers and Wheatears.

St Mary’s – A female Hen Harrier flew along Peninnis late in the day where a Grasshopper Warbler had been singing at lunchtime.

Tresco – A Greylag Goose flew over the island and then down Tresco Channel before being seen later on St Agnes.

Bryher – The first Cuckoo of the year was heard singing the island this morning.

St Agnes – A Cuckoo singing in Cove Vean in the afternoon just missed being the first on Scilly this year buy a few hours.
