Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June 2011 IoS Bird Reports

Saturdays birds were:

Samson – Marsh Harrier.

Western Rocks – 30 Puffins and a Arctic Skua.

Sunday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A Bee-eater was over MacFarland’s Down and later Pungie’s Lane. 5 Swifts were over Telegraph & one was over Hugh Town and a White Wagtail was on Porth Hellick Pool.

Bryher – A Black Kite flew over the island towards Tresco.

Tresco – The Black Kite was over Middle Down. Also on the island were 5 Swifts, a Common Buzzard and 3 very unseasonal Wigeon.

Samson – 2 Whimbrels.
