Monday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The 1st-winter Ring-billed Gull was still on the airfield.

Tresco – The 4 Whooper Swans were still present.

Tuesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – 5 Black Redstarts on Porthcressa Beach.

Wednesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A very vocal Dusky Warbler was at Porth Hellick, also there were a Woodcock and a Brambling. 10+ Black Redstarts at Porthcressa/Little Porth with 2 more at Old Town, 1 at Porthloo and 1 on the airfield, where there was also another late Wheatear, this time a female. A Yellow-browed Warbler & Siberian Chiffchaff were in Lower Moors and a Ring Ouzel & 17 Skylarks were on the Golf Course. A late Garden Warbler was at Pelistry.

Inter-island waters – A Long-tailed Duck was off Tresco, a Red-necked Grebe was off St. Martin’s and a Red-breasted Merganser was between Tresco & St. Martin’s.
