St. Mary’s – The 2 Pectoral Sandpipers, a Lapwing, a Black-tailed Godwit, a Common Sandpiper, a Dunlin, 11 Greenshanks and a Pied Flycatcher were at or around Porth Hellick Pool. 2 Green Sandpipers and a Greenshank with very yellow legs were on Lower Moors Pool. Nearby a Wryneck was in the Standing Stones Field at the Old Town end of Lower Moors and another was at Longstone. A Spotted Flycatcher was in Old Town Churchyard and 4 Mediterranean Gulls & 2 Northern Wheatears were at Porthcressa and another Norther Wheatear was on Peninnis.
At sea – 30+ European Storm-petrels, 10 Sooty and 3 Balearic Shearwaters were seen from the Scillonian III on the return crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.
