Tuesday 5th August 2014 IoS Bird Sightings

St. Mary’s – 8 Greenshanks, 2 Green Sandpipers and a Kingfisher were at Porth Hellick Pool. 2 Green Sandpipers were on the pool in Lower Moors.

Tresco – A Kingfisher was on the Great Pool.

St. Agnes – 6 Great & 2 Cory’s Shearwaters, a European Storm-petrel and 2 Great Skuas flew past Horse Point. Elsewhere on the island were a Common Sandpiper, a Whimbrel and a Wheatear.
