St. Mary’s – A Firecrest and a Grasshopper Warbler (Scilly’s first November record) were trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick. A Kingfisher, 2 Yellow-browed Warbler, 4 Firecrests, 2 Reed Buntings and a late Reed Warbler were at Lower Moors. A Yellow-browed Warbler & 3 Firecrests were at Higher Moors and the Great Spotted Woodpecker was still in Holy Vale. 3 Black Redstarts & a late Wheatear were on Porthloo Beach, another Wheatear was at Trewince and a further Black Redstart was on Town Beach. A Pink-footed Goose and a Short-eared Owl were on Peninnis.

St. Martin’s – 1 intrepid birder who went to the island was rewarded with: A Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Yellow-browed Warbler, 3 Ring Ouzels, a Brambling, 12 Siskins, 10 Black Redstarts, 15 Skylarks, 16 Fieldfares, 50 Redwings and a late Whinchat.
