St. Mary’s – The 2 Pectoral Sandpipers were still on Porth Hellick Pool and the Wryneck was still in the Standing Stones Field at the Old Town end of Lower Moors.
Bryher – A Spotted Flycatcher and a Common Whitethroat.
St. Martin’s – 4 Northern Wheatears.
At sea – The evening short-range pelagic trip came up trumps with the sighting of the 100th! Wilson’s Storm-petrel on the Sapphire pelagics this year. Also seen were 20 European Storm-petrels, 3 Great Shearwaters, 2 Sooty Shearwaters, 1000+ Manx Shearwaters, 2 Sabine’s Gulls, 2 Black Terns, 14 Arctic Terns, 3 Great Skuas, 3 Minke Whales, 20 Short-beaked Common Dolphins and an Ocean Sunfish.
