Sunday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – the Garganey was still at Porth Hellick, 3 White Wagtails were at Longstones, a Black Redstart was on Porthmellon beach and a Merlin over Higher Moors. A smart male Hen Harrier was a great find in the evening as it flew around Porth Hellick, Higher Moors and the surrounding area. 3 Night Herons were at Porth Hellick and 2 at Lower Moors at dusk. Birds were also seen during the daytime, including 1 on the rocks at Carn Leh. 2 Great Northern Divers were in the Roads

Samson – the Spoonbill was seen again.

Tresco – 3 Night Herons were seen at dusk, which suggests that a minimum of 8 were on the islands.

St. Martin’s – a Great Northern Diver was seen.

Monday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – a Night Heron was seen flying over Lower Moors mid-afternoon but no dusk reports were received. 2 Ring Ouzels were on the Garrison.

Tresco – the Black Duck was seen again on Abbey Pool and the Green-winged Teal on the Great Pool. 2 Great Northern Divers were off Carn Near.

St. Agnes – a male Ring Ouzel was seen.

BryherOsprey and Ring Ouzel were seen and the Hooded Crow was still there.

St. Martin’s – 14 Sandwich Terns, 18+ Wheatears, 2 Fieldfares, a female Ring Ouzel and 2 Common Scoter flying east.
