Scilly Season has officially arrived! A selection of sightings from the evenings log at the Scillonian Club included:

Isabelline Wheatear – 1 on St. Mary’s Airfield.

Rose-breasted Grosbeak – 1 St. Agnes.

Red-eyed Vireo – 1 in the Parsonage, St. Agnes.

Bee-eater – 3 in the Abbey Gardens, Tresco.

American Golden Plover – 1 still on Airfield/Porth Hellick Beach.

Pectoral Sandpiper – 1 on Porth Hellick Pool.

Wryneck – 1 on Tresco and 1 on St. Agnes.

Yellow-browed Warbler – 1 on Lower Broome, Garrison, 1 at Trenoweth and 1 in the Dump Clump.

Firecrest – 4 on St. Agnes and 1 in Carreg Dhu Gardens.

Pink-footed Goose – 6 Tresco.

Whimbrel – 1 on Porthloo Beach.

Bar-tailed Godwit – 3 on Porthloo Beach and 1 on Bryher.

Mediterranean Gull – 5 Bryher.

Hooded Crow – 1 on Bryher.

Spotted Flycatcher – 1 in Old Town Churchyard, 1 Newford Duck Pond, 3 on Bryher and 2 at the Parsonage, St. Agnes.

Pied Flycatcher – 2 Newford Duck Pond, 1 Carreg Dhu Gardens, 1 Sunnyside, 1 Bryher and 2 St. Agnes.

Whinchat 1 Dump Clump and 2 on Bryher.

Yellow Wagtail – 5 Lower Moors.

White Wagtail – 2 Porthloo Beach.
