Saturday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The 3 Black-necked Grebes were still in Town Bay and a late Swallow was over Carreg Dhu Gardens.

Samson – 4 Spoonbills were on Green Island.

Sunday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The 3 Black-necked Grebes were still in Town Bay, where there was also a Brent Goose. A Swallow was over Rosehill, 2 Woodcocks flew over High Lanes and a Short-eared Owl was in the pine belt at the top of Telegraph Road.

Tresco – 25 Wigeon, a Pintail and 2 Firecrests.

Monday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The Brent Goose was in Porthcressa Bay, the Wood Sandpiper was still in Lower Moors, a Siskin was at Porth Hellick and a Firecrest was trapped and ringed there

Tuesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A Little Gull was briefly at Porth Mellon, where there was also a Black Redstart. A Red-breasted Merganser& 2 Black Redstarts were at Porthcressa and 2 Black-necked Grebes were in Town Bay. The Wood Sandpiper, a Yellow-browed Warbler & a Siberian Chiffchaff were in Lower Moors and nearby the Swallow was still over Rosehill.

Wednesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – 2 Firecrests were trapped and ringed at Porth Hellick and a Swallow was seen there. The 3 Black-necked Grebes were still in Town Bay.
