St. Mary’s – A Common Sandpiper was on Porthloo Beach.
At sea – 5 Great Shearwaters and 3 European Storm-petrels were seen from the Scillonian III on the crossing from Penzance to St. Mary’s.
Shearwaters continued to perform – 150 Great, 25 Cory’s, 80 Sooty and 2000 Manx were seen on the evening short-range pelagic trip. Also seen were 5 Great Skuas, 100+ Short-beaked Common Dolphins and what was thought to be a Fin Whale.
