Monday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s -7 Greenshanks were at Porth Hellick Pool and 4 Common Swifts were over the Garrison.

Tresco – A Hobby, a Redshank, 7 Greenshanks and 5 Common Swifts.

Annet – A juvenile Mediterranean Gull.

Inter-island waters – An adult Mediterranean Gull was in the Roads, between St. Mary’s and Tresco.

At Sea – A Balearic and 12 Sooty Shearwaters were seen in raft of 700 Manx Shearwaters from a boat about a mile north of Bryher. An evening pelagic trip produced a Great, a Balearic & 6 Sooty Shearwaters, a blue Fulmar, 4 Great Skuas, 2 Ocean Sunfish and 6 Blue Sharks which were caught, tagged and released.

Tuesday’s birds were:

At Sea – 6 Balearic, 16 Sooty & 1000 Manx Shearwaters and 2 Ocean Sunfish were seen from a boat about a mile north of Bryher. 3 Great Skuas were seen on the evening reef fishing trip.

St. Martin’s – A Cory’s and 6 Sooty Shearwaters were seen off the Daymark.

Wednesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A Mediterranean Gull was in Porthcressa Bay, a Dunlin was in the harbour and 6 Greenshanks were at Porth Hellick Pool.

At sea – A Great Shearwater was seen on the Scillonian III crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Thursday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A sea-watch from Deep Point from 17:30-19:30 produced 40 Cory’s, a Balearic and 4 Sooty Shearwaters.

Inter-island waters – A Balearic and 2 Sooty Shearwaters were with a flock of 300 Manx Shearwaters in the Roads. A raft of 400+ Manx Shearwaters near Annet had 3 Balearic & 2 Sooty Shearwaters with them and there was also an Ocean Sunfish.

At sea – Seen on the evening short-range pelagic trip were: a Wilson’s Storm-petrel, 40 European Storm-petrels, 5 Sooty, 17 Great & 33 Cory’s Shearwaters, a Great Skua and 2 Arctic Terns. Marine life included an Ocean Sunfish, 20 Common Dolphins and a Porbeagle & 5 Blue Sharks were caught tagged and released.

Friday’s birds were:

At sea – A Great and a Sooty Shearwater was seen on the Scillonian III crossing from St. Mary’s to Penzance.

Saturday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A Green Sandpiper was at Porth Hellick Pool.

Tresco – 9 Greenshanks, 2 Pochards and 13 Grey Heron.

St. Agnes – A Green Sandpiper and a Whimbrel.

Sunday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – 8 Greenshanks, a Redshank and 2 Snipe were at Porth Hellick Pool

Tresco – 8 Greenshanks.

Inter-island waters – A Balearic Shearwater was in St. Mary’s Sound, a Whimbrel was in Tresco Channel and 50 Puffins were near Mincarlo.

Monday’s birds were:

At sea – Birds seen on an evening short-range pelagic trip included 2 Wilson’s Storm-petrels, 40+ European Storm-petrels, 5 Cory’s Shearwaters, 3 Great Skuas, 20 Common Dolphins and 3 Blue Sharks which caught, tagged and released.
