Friday 8th to Tuesday 12th January 2016 IoS Bird Sightings

Friday’s birds were:

Inter-island waters – 250+ Kittiwakes were in The Roads.

Saturday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A Glaucous Gull flew past Porthloo.

Sunday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A Short-eared Owl was at Higher Moors, the Common Whitethroat was still in scrub above Little Porth and 4 Firecrests were on the Garrison.

Samson – A Spoonbill.

Monday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – An Iceland Gull was on the Municipal rubbish dump.

Samson – A Spoonbill.

Tuesday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A Glaucous Gull flew past Halangy, a Merlin was near Juliet’s Garden, 3 Black Redstarts were on the beach at Little Porth, 2 were at Old Town, 1 was at the Riding Stables and 1 was at Porth Hellick.
