Glossy Ibis, Porth Hellick Pool, Graham Cundale, 15.09.17

Friday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – A Glossy Ibis was at Porth Hellick and was seen later flying over Peninnis and then over Hugh Town towards Tresco. The Semi-palmated Sandpiper was still on Lower Moors Pool and the American Golden Plover was on the airfield moving to Porth Hellick Beach as the tide went out.

St. Martin’s – 30+ Sanderlings and a Merlin.

Tresco – 4 Sanderlings and a Dunlin.

Saturday’s birds were:

St. Mary’s – The Semi-palmated Sandpiper was still on Lower Moors Pool and the American Golden Plover was seen on the airfield, at Lower Moors and on Porth Hellick Beach.

St. Martin’s – 38 Ringed Plovers, 4 Dunlins and 110+ Sanderlings.
